ADALAT Legal Advocacy Grant

Enhance Access to Justice: Promote equitable access to justice services in Balkh Province, ensuring marginalized populations can seek protection and support.
Raise Awareness of Gender-Based Violence (GBV): Increase public understanding of the prevalence and consequences of domestic violence, including its physical, emotional, and psychological impacts, to foster support for survivors.
Empower Women’s Access to Justice: Strengthen community structures that support women in accessing justice, providing protection mechanisms & resources to combat discrimination
Facilitate Safe Community Dialogue: Create a respectful platform for discussing domestic violence, encouraging open conversations that prioritize survivor experiences and promote protection and healing.
Engage Diverse Community Stakeholders: Involve key members from local communities, including minority groups, to foster inclusive discussions that can lead to constructive policies addressing GBV and enhancing access to justice.

• Build Advocacy Capacity and Legal Literacy: Improve public awareness and capacity related to advocacy, GBV laws, and the formal justice system in Balkh, empowering communities to advocate for their rights and safety.
• Develop Contextual Legal Frameworks: Conduct research to understand the legal systems in rural communities, aiming to create a gender-responsive justice sector that increases women’s access to legal remedies and enhances protection for survivors of violence
