Promoting Government Accountability Throuhg Civil Society Actors 2016

  • To track status of (NUG) National Unity Government’s commitments in order to promote government accountability and transparency through civil society that represents Afghan peoples’ demands and rights
  • To undertake monitoring and advocacy activities of the NUG’s commitments
  • To enhance government accountability towards services being provided
  • To identify plans, policies, mechanisms and budgets that are developed for the establishment of the commitments to enhance transparency and reduce corruption
  • To implement monitoring activities with MoHE, MoE, MoPH, CSOs, donors and other people to increase public awareness
  • To implement public outreach activities and/or campaigns in national and provincial levels
  • To advocate for establishment of health centers and anti-corruption initiatives to reduce violence against women at the provincial and district levels
  • To enhance government accountability towards national literacy program that must be operational in all 34 provinces of Afghanistan
  • To train beneficiaries on the tools, techniques and website to continuously monitor government commitments and activities at the national, provincial and district levels and to report accordingly
    To publicize and report the progresses and initiatives made by the government towards their commitments in order to advocate for accountability and transparency
